Felsted has scored top in the A Level performance progress Government league tables in Essex. Felsted produced the top score for performance progress between GCSE Level and A Level, making the school among the top 5% of all schools, state and independent in the UK.
A Felsted education has become the top choice for many families, who all appreciate the outstanding pastoral care, small class sizes, dedicated teachers, the variety of flexible boarding options and daily bus routes from across the region. Whether on the stage, in the classroom or on the pitch, boys and girls achieve their potential at Felsted and beyond. The Times Education Supplement shortlisted Felsted for ‘Prep School of the Year and Sport School of the Year’ early this year and The Good Schools Guide has also endorsed the school; ‘An early growth mindset has youngsters believing anything is possible. Felsted produces self-starting, entrepreneurial and independent spirits … a school that brings out the best in everyone’.
A growth mind-set is at the core of Felsted’s approach to education. Starting in the early years at Felsted Prep, children succeed in small class sizes with experienced teachers who get to know every child, developing their individual talents to be the best that they can be. Broad opportunities to learn include Forest School, Music, Spanish, Swimming and Digital Learning. Plus wrap around care for busy working families and a hot school lunch!
From the age of 7, horizons are broadened further with a superb range of co-curricular activities, all on site in a safe environment to develop confidence and ability. At age 11, pupils lead the Prep School in a dedicated building, with specialist classrooms and access to Senior School facilities. At such a crucial stage in a child’s development, this allows them to grow in independence and responsibility before they transfer to the Senior School at age 13.
Based on the same stunning 90 acre site, senior pupils are currently boasting superb exam results, with a choice of A Levels and the International Baccalaureate Diploma in the Sixth Form, a superb careers and leadership programme, dedicated university entry support, global exchanges, plus numerous opportunities to succeed at a high level in sport, the arts, CCF, public speaking and much more. Felsted’s Network is evidence of this with many former pupils reconnecting with the school to support and encourage current pupils with stories of how they are making a difference in the world, whatever path they have chosen.
